Enxebre

ENXEBRE emerges from the traces of an architecture in ruins to consolidate a new social center for the entire municipality, revealing new opportunities within this dialectic. Through an intervention that preserves the entire architectural heritage, the aim is to enhance the identity of the place, responding to its material and landscape context. The result is a new space that becomes part of the rural landscape of the Aldea de Muimenta, recovering part of its cultural and architectural memory.

ENXEBRE responds to the needs of the place and aims to be a multigenerational and inclusive gathering place. The project integrates into its surroundings through the use of local materials and simple, traditional construction systems. The reuse of stone ashlars and remains found on the plot is proposed for the new walls, while locally sourced wood is used for interior conditioning, collaborating with local professionals and fostering the circular economy. ENXEBRE is a social and technical commitment to the community and the context to which it belongs, one that strengthens the intrinsic capacities of the place and contributes to the consolidation of a landscape with identity.

Two accessible access routes to the plot are proposed, located to the North and South, along with independent access points on each floor of the building. Spacious, flexible spaces are designed to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all users. Through the installation of an elevator connecting the ground floor and first floor, accessibility to the interior is ensured.
