Summit makes visible a consequence of human activity we are used to looking away from: the waste generated simply by living in a city.

The installation was built entirely from waste collected over a single week from the street bordering the site — gathered, reshaped, and formed into a mound out of which plants grow. What is normally discarded becomes, instead, the ground for something living.

The project rests on a deliberate contrast: the organic, circular geometry of the mound against the strict, rectilinear grid of the historic courtyard that contains it — waste against nature, the found form against the imposed one.
